Cheap...Poorly made, dont buy!, I wish I could return this cheap cabinet...poorly made.
Better off buying this from a store, I purchased this pantry for a new small house that I was moving into over Easter weekend this year. The initial ship date showed that the pantry would be delivered on or after April 7, but somehow that was moved up after I made the purchase, and it was left by UPS on the front porch of my new unoccupied house on March 31, which was two full days before I got there. But the early delivery was just the beginning.
The box itself was covered with very dusty plastic and looked like it had been carried through dirt, and one end of the box was ripped away and had been taped up, more like something from a flea market or salvage dealer. When I opened the box, the only good thing was that the parts were all there and it was in good condition.
I followed the instructions to the letter and got the shelves, frame and doors put together in less than an hour. However, the door hinges provided were unusable, they were covered with a very oily, dirty pasty substance that came off on my fingers and got all over the very-white finish of the cabinet. These were not standard butterfly hinges, but instead some very complex type hinges that were not made for easy installation. The wordless, illustration-only instruction sheet did not show the proper position for the hinges to be installed, and I was unable to make them fit, despite taking the shelves and frame apart a couple of times. I actually had to leave the doors unmounted for a week or two until I could get decent door hinges from my hardware store, adding an additional $12.00 to the final cost. The only other choice would have been to leave the doors off, and end up with a way-overpriced plain white doorless shelf unit.
Very nice cabinet!, This cabinet was extremely well-packed, and arrived ahead of its' scheduled date. It was easy to put together (recommend 2 people, due to its' size) and fit perfectly in the space that I had for it. All the pieces were included, and there was even extra hardware. I would recommend this product to others without reservation.
Dont bother, This was a disapointment. The hinges keep falling off and the doors dont line up correctly so I cannot shut 1 door at a time, I need to open the other door and line them up THEN shut it. Pain in the you know what! Special since Im using it for baby items. My poor 3 year old has gotten her finger caught in it trying to shut it. I gave it 2 stars because I love the size of it and fits perfect in the spot I wanted it for.
Poorly made and damaged., The item came in an open box, several chips on the doors and no instructions. It took about 45 minutes to put together (without instructions. It's cheaply made and the hinges are very weak. It shipped very fast and overall you get what you pay for.
Pleased, Cabinet looks beautiful! The doors are a little tough to open but suspect they will become easier with use. My husband put this together in less than half an hour.
This pantry fits the bill, The pantry arrived a little earlier than expected. The wood was cracked (about 3 inches) on one side of the unit but, given its location, the damage is not very noticeable. The directions were a bit unclear so we put the sides on inside-out and had to take it apart and re-do it. The pantry is sturdy and roomy. A good value.
Disappointing - Save Your Money & Time, The only positive thing I can say about this product is that it was delivered fast - soon after order placement. The product itself was quite disappointing. The doors and and a shelf were chipped! The back of the cabinet is a sheet of cardboard not wood! The relationship between cost and actual product are quite skewed.
good storage solution, fast delivery, easy to put together. We are using it in our bathroom for storage of towels, etc. Glad we purchased it. Price was good as well.
